Sainete
Introducción Dentro del teatro español de los siglos XVIII y XIX, los sainetes se constituyeron en magníficos retablos costumbristas de la sociedad de la época. El sainete era una pieza breve, popular y cómica, inserta en medio o al final de una función teatral, cuyo asunto, como el de sus predecesores —el paso y el entremés de los siglos XVI y XVII—, tenía escasa trascendencia y complejidad dramáticas.
